Gath arrived just before Raven did. There was a flashing warning at the closed doors. Gath reached up and touched the device under his collar. It provided a minimal bubble of protection over his head and came with a breathing mask. He knew it was going to be ugly and that it would classify as a biohazard area from all of the vaporized fluids from the bodies.

Gath cursed as he opened the doors. Raven had to turn away for a moment and compose herself, but both of them had seen such things before. When the fatal moment had happened, the area was briefly without dampeners and it appeared that even gravity had gone offline. The walls were a horror show, but thankfully there wasn't much recognizable. The force had torn even the uniforms to shreds in the process. There were a couple of boots that appeared to have something inside them yet, but Gath was concerned about the ship.

Raven took note of the structural condition and said that it wasn't safe for anyone to be in the area unless they were in an EVA rated suit of some kind. She couldn't give any promises that the room could be trusted to maintain Life Support. There were buckled bulkheads and wrinkles in plating that were threatening to lose containment through cracked welds. So far, the layered structure of the hull had saved them, but another good hit could tear through at any time.

In very short order, she got the Main Deflector back to full, but part of the Structural Integrity had been damaged. She got it stable, but one of the units was going to need to be replaced...if they lived through this.

Once they had gotten things assessed and back online as best they could, Raven cautioned Gath to return through the other access, on the port side. The one he had come through was showing a pressure leak. No sooner had she said so and there was a warning of a plasma leak in that starboard access. The damaged warp coils and coolant system had more leaks than could easily be addressed. Raven rushed off toward the chaos. Her voice could be heard trailing off as she was instructing crews on what to do.

Gath had to return to one of the consoles to try and compensate, rerouting some of the coolant through the main deflector once more. He would stay until another technician arrived to take over. Frankly, the relays kept being triggered from rerouting too much through too few junctions. He would reset one, just to have another trip again. Someone was going to need to stay at the station until the cause was repaired. It was a long few minutes before the unfortunate technicians were sent to relieve him. He waited while they took a moment to open their helmets and throw up on the deck.

When they finally approached him, he suggested, "Try not to look around too much. Focus on the work for now. There will be time for grief later, if we're lucky."

Each gave him a simple nod in return and then he said, "I am relieved." Then he stepped back from the console to let them take over.

The leak was still preventing him from going back the way he had come in, so he went to the Port access to see if he could find his way back to the Bridge. While looking around, he realized that he had left bloody boot prints behind him for a while. He wanted to clean off his boots and such, but knew he didn't really have time right then. It had been a while since he had needed to worry about such things. He hoped it would not upset others around him, but they had work to do if they were going to get through this.

Gath retracted his survival gear and hadn't gone far when he came across an injured crewman. They had a hand over a bleeding head wound and appeared to have a broken leg. The person wasn't in shock yet and after a quick assessment, he carried the person over his shoulder in a fireman's carry to get them to Sickbay.

Gath finally reported in to Baldwin, "I've secured the Main Deflector Control"

Moments later, Gath reported that he was carrying someone out of the Secondary Hull area and was taking them to Sickbay. Access was very dangerous and should be restricted to emergency teams only. He closed the channel without waiting for an answer. He had called it in without stopping along the way, because the injured person needed treatment and they were in a very dangerous place. The ship was holding together, but he was worried about how easily she had started buckling under the stress. They were taking quite a beating.

Raven also confirmed with A'kilees, "We'vre restored control of deflectors and structural integrity. One of the generators is offline, but all things considered, we're still in business. We've got some coolant leaking from the warp coils, but we're sealing them off, so the core should be fine. We're not going to warp anytime soon. The Secondary Hull is currently off limits unless you have an EVA suit, at least until we can get this coolant under control. You did a good job on your end, this old girl just isn't what she once was. I'm going to inspect some support structures to make sure we don't have any more surprises, but keep me posted. Raven, out.]

[Understood, glad to hear you’re alright. Be safe down there. A’kilees out.]
