Commander Ameen gave out his orders to the bridge crew, including to Ens Baldwin, "Baldwin, outstanding work getting triage organized. Keep a close watch on those Deck Three EPS junctions; don't let a secondary surge take out our secondary sensor feeds."
Ens Baldwin, felling a little out of her depth, was a security office now handling a tactical station on the bridge and receiving orders more suited to an Engineer. Both not included in her resume. One thing though, Baldwin, if not a tactical or engineering expert, was a logical Vulcan when she needed to be and a quick study. Ens Baldwin quickly brought up the Steamrunner class Star Ship technical manual on her console and began researching the Deck Three Electo-plasma System junctions, and secondary sensor feeds.
Within seconds she had established that she needed a mix of active bridge commands, physical engineering, and field maintenance and that she needed to reset the EPS manifold adjusters and cycle the manifold nozzles to balance the pressure and distribution lines across the grid, particularly for the Deck 3 junctions, otherwise it a battle it could go 'BANG' and damage or take out the secondary sensor feeds and possible the Science Dept below on Deck Four..
More quick investigation found some curious information. On a Steamrunner-class starship, the secondary sensor array elements situated near or routing through Deck 3 are uniquely tied to the ship's Diplomatic facilities, while the primary science laboratories and astrometric suites sit just below on Deck 4, because the Steamrunner-class was designed to operates as an electronic warfare and intelligence-gathering frigate, the sensor subsystems on Deck 3 serve highly specific, tactical-diplomatic roles. The tactical side being among other things telemetry to and from probes and other sauces.

A course of action began to form in her mind.
If I reroute the power used for the protected the diplomatic rooms, to the secondary sensors near Deck Three that will enhance the probe telemetry and communication and could increase the effectiveness of the probes jamming signal. But those protections for the diplomatic room prevents unnotarized beaming in and out?... the shield are up so that's not a problem. Then surplus power to the unused areas on Deck Three could be rerouted to structural integrity. Can I do that from this station? I'll need to advise Engineering, as if they don't have enough to do? But that would lower the EPS flow through the junctions on Deck Three, reducing the risk of a power spike causing an explosion.
Baldwin advised Engineering of her activity and set the rerouting of power from her console.
