T'Lari felt a brief flash of horror that matched the flash of light as the Sovereign-class Inaeiu went up. She recognized the signs of a torpedo magazine breach. No ship could have survived that. The feeling was suppressed with the detachment she was supposed to maintain at all times.
"Reroute all discretionary power to engines and weapons. Flint, get us close to the Os'rusa, but keep them between us and the Dreadnought. T'Lari, I want full phasers on her sensors when we reach optimal range; she can't shoot what she can't see."
The half-Vulcan acknowledged the order and waited for the optimal moment to spit fire at the Yeager's nemesis. This was the third time this crew had faced that ship, and she felt a grim determination to make sure there wouldn't be a fourth. The last time she had raked the Cardassian ship along its keel. This time she would blind it.
She didn't wait for further instructions. The Captain trusted her judgement and knew she wouldn't fire until it would result in maximum effect.
Just a little bit closer...
