Jadaris ran back from the science labs to main engineering, taking the turbolift only because the Jeffries Tubes would be necessary for other personnel. He headed back into the engineering bay and began to bring the warp core back up to full power for the red alert status.
Jadaris then ran an internal diagnostic to see if any of the ship's systems were at combat readiness, and what his engineers would likely have to patch first. He then tapped his badge and sent back a readiness signal to the bridge,
"Jadaris to Bridge. Warp core coming back up to full power. Engineering is ready for what the Cardassians will throw at us, assuming they don't use a cutting beam on us like they did the Callisto."
