The order came seemingly out of nowhere.
"Qab; report to the Aeroshuttle bay and prepare to launch the Glennis and run like hell. She can do Warp Nine in a pinch so you can outrun anything they have; the first Starfleet ship you come across, tell them everything that happened here so far. Tell them we're engaged and require immediate reinforcement."
His antennae locked forward as his eyes slightly narrowed. Blood sang in his ears as he heard the Captain command him to leave the ship; he didn't recall any exercises in the Academy that were quite like this. Steeling himself, he replied as neutrally as possible.
"Aye, Captain." He accepted the PADD without further comment.
Anything else seemed superfluous and perhaps even a bit superficial given the circumstances. For her part, Captain Braggins had already dismissed him and was focusing on much more important matters.
