During the dark days that had followed the attack, Ardanna had become withdrawn, barely talking, sleeping or eating and even though she'd survived and made a life for herself, she never forgot or talked about it. Unless you were her brother or a member of The Raven crew, not wanting to see the pity on people's faces or answer their questions. Simply put, it was still too raw, too painful until one day she learned to open up. Christian helped with that when she struggled on certain days, allowing Ardanna to accept and cope better than before.
Ollie had also been a great source of comfort even more so that night when she woke from a nightmare, holding her until it passed. It was sometimes a gamble telling new people, unsure as to how they would react, but thankfully Ardanna needn't be worried with Ju understanding, sympathising and Ardanna smiled softly before the engineer moved the conversation to a different subject. This allowed the security officer to refocus, take a sip of her drink while Hally spoke.
Again she took in all the information, listening as she always did as it was an important tool in getting to know someone. Cooking was one thing Ardanna wasn't particularly good at but she was making the effort to learn and she appreciated languages as Hally turned the question back to Ju. Again Ardanna would show the other woman her interest as she then took her turn.
“ I've recently started cooking lessons as I wanted to do something different, so when I'm not learning or in the gym, I enjoy being on the phaser range. I also love to hang out with friends, dig into Norse mythology and tinker with small pieces of machinery”.
Okay some of her spare time was also devoted to Ollie, with the couple often doing things together, sharing each other's interests but she figured that she had already spoken about her boyfriend enough. Although if asked she would happily tell them.
