Reyna and Jason had walked slowly to their destination, chatting as they went. He was much taller than she was, but it didn't seem to bother Reyna in the least. She was strong willed and independent, which came across more clearly with every step they took together. She could play the part of the child she appeared to be, but she was quite her own person. Thor kept up with them, but never made a sound other than paws padding along on the deck.
When they reached the door and Jason let them in, they all entered and she looked around before finally smiling at Jason and saying, "Alright, let me start things off. First, introductions. Reveal." Two small spheres appeared one hovering over each of Reyna's shoulders. They were small drones that were floating there silently. "Meet...Thing 1 and Thing 2, they will be our escorts for the moment. Thing 1 will be mine and Thing 2 will be yours. Alright, give me the Reyna ala Beno Mark 3."
There was a shimmering around Reyna and she was hard to make out for a couple of seconds before resolving into a version of herself that looked about 24 and was 5'8" tall. She looked pretty hot in the kind of dress he had seen them in together, complete with Trill spots and all.
Reyna giggled in a slightly different sounding voice, "Oops, wait, this won't work. Bring it down to 16 and about 5'2" or I'm going to have too much trouble walking."
The image shifted for a couple of seconds again and she brushed her dress smooth, gave her hair a shake and glanced at herself, "Yeah, that's better. I know it might still be a bit short compared to you, but for me this is only like walking in platform shoes instead of on small stilts."
The little girl was gone and a young woman with some curves and some muscle tone stood before Jason, making his eyebrows raise a bit. She put her hands on her attractive hips and waved a hand in front of his face, "Hey, my eyes are up here." When he reacted and looked her in the eyes, she giggled in a familiar way and she playfully waved a hand at him, "I'm just messing with you. Look all you want, but touching costs extra. Seriously though, now it's your turn."
Her expression became more serious and she gave a sigh as a PADD mysteriously materialized again and she began some tapping. She began to pace a little, occasionally glancing at him or parts of him and nodding. She looked up a few times, as if thinking hard about something and then tapping a bit more. Finally, she tossed the PADD into the air, but it vanished and she stepped back in front of him, hands once more on hips. He couldn't help but think that Reyna made much more sense to him in this illusionary body. The attitude and personality just fit more than it did with the child. She snapped him out of the thought though with a snap of her fingers in front of his face.
"Hey, this isn't about me, it's about you." She smiled and nodded, pausing and even giving a small blush for the first time, "You're not exactly wrong, and thanks for noticing, but let's stay on task here. Try to forget that this is perhaps the strangest kind of getting to know each other in blended family history, but we can talk about that stuff later. This, my brother, is for you, so pay attention." There had been an interesting glimpse of vulnerability that reminded him what she looked like without the holographic programing, but then it was gone again.
She let out a sigh and said, "Alright, give me our first resolve on Jason."
Jason felt a bit off balance for a moment, but steadied himself. He felt a hand on one arm and another against his sternum to help steady him until his vision cleared, but the pressure on his chest felt odd. His clothes suddenly felt tighter in some areas and looser in others.
Reyna cursed under her breath and said, "Tie into the replicator and put the clothes in storage mode until an outfit is picked out. You should have gotten undressed first after all."
Suddenly the tightness was gone because he was naked, which was a little bit of a shock at first, but when he went to cover himself out of reflex, he got a surprise. He didn't look like him anymore.
Reyna stepped back and nodded, "Alright, that's our starting point. On the one hand, I lied and didn't turn my back. On the other hand, I didn't technically see you naked, but I am seeing HER naked. That would be the version of you that you were imagining. I have to applaud you for the fact that unlike most guys, you didn't go over the top on certain attributes. You actually look proportional and had envisioned a reasonable variation that I could recognise as a female version of you. Take a look in the mirrors and let me know what changes to make, if any and then we can get you into a nice outfit. Bear in mind that if you try to wear anything that might be snug, like a bikini bottom, you might feel a bit...um...uncomfortable. The holographics can make an illusion, but your physics are still the same. You're either going to have to fit into the outfit, or make it only an illusion and risk someone bumping into you, or you make real clothing that fits and you...adjust. I suggest a dress or skirt that will allow you some margin to work with in that department. Naked, you can use the commands of ADJUST OVER and ADJUST UNDER. The over will create a barrier field illusion that will effectively do the best to hide your secret. The under is purely a light show illusion version and leaves you technically commando."
Looking around, Jason saw there were a few standing mirrors for him to use. In a rather sarcastic tone, with a devilish grin to match, Reyna asked, "Do you want me to turn my back now?"
