Sebastian jumped slightly when the Captain spoke, "Midshipman Cortez," The Captain's voice cracking like a whip across the quiet clearing. "Broadcast that ascending frequency through the Holodeck emitters now. Maximum volume."
Sebastian's hands flew across the controls; his excitement was ready to burst. What secrets would these aliens reveal? The truth was these aliens could have come from Several Galaxies away. They could have come from M31 — Andromeda Galaxy, M51, Whirlpool Galaxy, M104 — Sombrero Galaxy, M33- Triangulum Galaxy, M82- Cigar Galaxy, M64, Black Eye Galaxy, or the Cartwheel Galaxy, or from the Large Magellanic Cloud, or the Small Magellanic Cloud, or M101, Pinwheel Galaxy.
Granted, it would have taken millions of years to travel from these remote Galaxies, but these aliens may have been pulled through a wormhole, or a Subspace anomaly; the possibilities are endless.
Maybe these people have encountered some variant of Iconian gateway technology?
“Aye, Captain, right away.” Replied Sebastian. Sebastian activated the program, he watched and waited to see in the Apex Predators responded.
Sebastian leaned over to A’kilees and whispered, “ A’kilees, do you think these aliens could have encountered some variant of Iconian gateway technology?”
Sebastian was excited. He motioned for Lt. Ra’an to approach He quickly typed a note on his Data Padd as he didn’t want to distract the Captain with unnecessary background chatter. Not to mention the fact the Captain may recognize and value the request to ask coming from his Chief Science Officer.
[ Lieutenant, clearly these aliens are unlike any power in the Alpha, Beta Quadrants. They have clearly traveled a great distance. I suspect that maybe these aliens had access to Iconian gateway technology. Do you think the Captain can ask the Aliens about it?]
Sebastian was like a little kid; he wanted to know. If these Aliens had access to Iconian gateway technology or some variant on it, it would mean a great advance for the Federation.
