Coming back from the Holodeck Cologero had Carley under his arm, both were in shorts and a T shirt Carley seemed comfortable in a smaller size. As they came in Cologero took them to a booth that was off to the left, it was a bigger booth that gave a little more space. Cologero sat down first with his surprise Carley sat across his lap, it was a little more comfortable for her. It didn't matter to him much long as she is comfortable, not to say he didn't enjoy this.
"The love birds have returned." Cologero knew that Tom was being his normal self before joining. Tom smiled big knowing the two seemed to be a lot closer than when leaving hours prior, he just didn't read too much into it. "It looks like you have finally given up your search for this Raven women, you will never find her anyways."
Cologero had a grin. "The search is done, just for a different reason."
Tom had the look on his face like he figured it out. "I swear one little amount of kissing and he was hooked, on the upside got him motivated to study more to become an Officer." Tom had the same chance that he didn't take, now he is a weapons specialist with the enlisted ranks. One day he might be an Officer, when he gets old and didn't want to work for a living. Tom ordered three shots called Bert Reynolds, it was a great celebration drink.
After the drink Cologero was feeling great. "I have recently been made Acting Chief Tactical Officer, when I prove it I can remove the word acting." Cologero said it with pride. "Its a lot of pressure to test the waters of advancing even further, right now I am happy as the Sheppard who fights away the wolves." It was a small biblical reference that people usually don't mind, his Saint Jude medallion was in plain sight usually under his uniform.
Tom was happy to see some changes happen in the past few hours. "For what its worth I am happy for the two of you, both of you seem to be more relaxed than normal."
Cologero knew the statement was at face value, they usually just say what they mean. "As it turns out this is the best part of my day, she taken care of a small problem I had for a while. My shoulder is feeling better than its been for years."
Tom had to ask the question. "Carley I have to know, but don't feel pressured into answering. What drew you to this clown? I am sure there were better around." For some reason Tom thought there would be a funny story behind it, he was not told where they met other than some kind of party.
