== Temp. NRC - Crewman Nick Druer, Medical Administrative Technician ==
Reveille had come earlier than what was normally scheduled for Ethan--0500, to be precise. The main reason was that, technically, he still hadn't been fully processed. He had a long day ahead of him, which included (among other things) an appointment in Sick Bay. He'd already gone through a pre-deployment physical before leaving Earth, but on starships it was also required that incoming crew be assessed by their department's primary physician before officially starting their tour of duty. According to his orders, Ethan was due at 0545, which only gave him about ten minutes to get ready, twenty-five to rush down to the officers' mess for a hasty breakfast, and another ten to make his way down to Medical. Thankfully, the ship's computer made navigating the dozens of identical passageways simple, and he got to the reception area with two minutes to spare.
The place seemed fairly quiet, although Ethan was sure it wouldn't be that way for long. The shift change at 0600 would bring in a fresh group of doctors and nurses, not to mention any crew coming in for checkups after getting off work. There would also probably be a few civilians coming in later for their own appointments starting around H8 or H9.
"Good morning, sir," greeted a young crewman at the front desk. "Checking in?"
"Yeah," answered Ethan. "I've got an initial physical today, but I'm not sure which doc I'm reporting to."
"No problem sir, I can help with that. What's the name?"
"Diaz, Ethan K."
The crewman sat down again and typed a few things on his computer terminal. "Perfect. I've got your information right here, sir. You're still on the Processing list, so the PLS Office should have already forwarded your file to us."
He reached down and produced a PADD, handing it off to Ethan. "Okay, I'll just need you to fill out this form, and then the doctor should be ready for you shortly."
Ethan nodded and thanked the crewman before settling down in an empty chair. While he began entering his name and serial number and all the rest, he tried not to think about all the unpleasant memories he had of other hospitals back on Lambda Minor. He'd been to a couple specialized treatment centers too--both as a visitor and a patient. He'd give just about anything to forget about that phase of his life.
== Open Tag (Sorry if I'm interrupting anything. Just thought I'd leave this here if anyone wants to jump in.) ==
