"Lieutenant Powel, I'm not aware of anyone on the crew specializing in Stellar Cartography, but perhaps your navigation skills might be able to project where their ship was headed. We know their point of origin and where we found them, given their course and speed, even with them encountering misfortune fairly recently, we should have some idea of where their journey might take them. The only factor I don't know how to compensate for is that they appear to have been launched roughly 100,000 years ago, so the margin of error in their calculations might be problematic. Do you think it might be possible to narrow down where they were originally headed?"
Powl tilted his head with intrigue. "It is possible, however it will require a significant allocation of resources to identify. There are many gravimetric shifts and that would be affecting their potential target. Plus, we would need to eliminate the possibility any object that may have had an interaction with the Broken Arrow that may have altered her trajectory. While it is hypothetically possible, it will require further deep investigation. I shall need to speak with Commander Kier. A good idea, sir. Perhaps we can shed some light on this mystery."
