Before Art’s newest Midshipman could fry herself, the Chief Engineer saved them all. There was no telling what would have happened had Wright wedged herself in there, without her -or her Chief, obviously- knowing what was actually inside. Artie had a fleeting thought about why she was a Security officer, not an Engineer, and then another thought about how perhaps there should be more cross-departmental education. She took a few half-steps back towards her officers, and looking almost longingly at the direction of she had been going. With a definitive annoyed huff, she continued towards where she had been going. Jadaris was one of the most capable officers on this ship.; he had things under control.
“All right,” she said, when she had approached the Torpedo Bay. She nodded at Beinn, indicating she was going to direct her questions at him, rather than his patient. “What happened over here? You guys didn’t happen to see a wild-eyed, sanctimonious-looking Trill run past here at any point, did you?” Her eyes scanned for bystanders and expressions, taking in wounds and markings, on the off-chance that someone in there was the Trill in question in disguise.
