Alex nodded his head at her preference to remain with her water. He then felt it worthy to remind her, "Jez, I really think you should relax. The medical standing on that cryo-pod is fairly clear. Right now, it is a part of you that has been removed from you, but is still as much a part of you as if it were your hand in there. You have complete control and authority over it. His only right is to try and convince you to give him control of it. Until such time as the contents of that pod are considered viable on their own, it is under your control alone. His genetic connection is limited and arguable, because he willingly contributed his genetic material to you and then expressed no concern within a frame of time where it was not yet combined with your own. This ammounts to abandonment of claim by default. His best hope is that he use the courts to beg for access and involvement, but you have the primary power in that struggle. You might risk some of that control, depending on how much you might try to place a claim on his assets, if you do at all, but I have a feeling that he would rather not risk the loss of his holdings in favor of access to what you hold in that pod. He wants you to fear his power over you, but in reality, it is you who really hold the potential power over him."
