YE/D09 & 10 - Engineering

Jadaris looked at the instrumentation on his master systems display, and kept an eye on the inertial dampeners, as well as the SIF field generators that were being pushed towards their limits. And then the sensors lit up with incoming fire, while the shields absorbed the fire. Not having sensors operational meant the ship was effectively blind due to the proton buildup on the sensors, which Jadaris began the process of cleaning. However, being the scientist with some radiology experience, Jadaris wondered if there was a way to disrupt whoever was firing on them.

He tapped his commbadge and said,

"Jadaris to Bridge. Whoever shot at us deserves something in return. If its someone in the race, then a multiflux gamma burst from the main deflector might interfere with their impulse engines' subspace bubble, and cause their impulse subspace regulators to lose cohesive flow, stranding them until they can restart their engines. A proton purge of the main sensor array should be enough to restore some sensor functionality however, enough for us to get a lock on whoever decided it was a good idea to attack during a race."

He turned back to his systems display, hoping that the bridge would also have some fancy flying, because he too wanted to win the race.

==GM Input: Would a proton purge clear the sensors, or does the computer recommend something else to clear the sensor arrays?==
