"Klingo's aren't known for their science prowess. Makes me wonder if they aren't being used as mercs or security for whoever is really runnin' the show down there," Pearson offered thoughtfully. "Any idea if we are beamin' in or goin' in by shuttle? That's going to change paint on how we approach this." He looked around. "Speaking of the plan, where is the Chief anyway?"
"She's on the Bridge," Svenson replied.
“Yep. Calleja likes to know what’s going on,” Yordan added. “Usually the Security Chief waits until summoned. That’s… not how she works,” he finished with a knowing smile. The bleached-blonde officer had served with the Amazonian Calleja before and knew her better than most on Artemis.
"Look, the perimeter fence seems more about keeping something in, rather than keeping anyone out," Ardanna began. "There are no transporter defences either, I'd better tell the Chief and the Bridge."
Leman leant in and checked out the scans himself.
“Wow. You’re right,” he replied. “Absolutely let the boss know that one.”
When Svenson had sent her message and the Chief had replied, Yordan gave the map a closer look.
“So no transporter defences, and precious little else. Looks like these guys are really relying on location and those floating antiques to protect themselves. The Dominion were many things, but they weren’t amateurs. This? This is amateur work,” the Trill said scathingly. “I wonder if they even have sensor nets set up. Can we get teams on the ground without them noticing?”
He spun the hologram map around to check his line of thought.
