Beno was delighted that there was a show of mutual respect, the true sign of a professional. It didn't take too long for the team to get ready to go, one of the perks of traveling light. Beno waited for the team to become mobile again, and proceeded to the next transport location. There was something eerie about the sound of the echoing effect of shoes on a hard floor, probably some kind of lingering memory of the past.
After the team was transported to the new location, Beno had a quick look at the surroundings. "Its been a couple hundred years since I seen anything like this." She said while moving to the very edge of the trap, from the looks of it they places it there for after hours visitors. Beno knew where to stand before the weapon would normally discharge, it was a calculated risk that would pay out soon.
“On behalf of the Tanndi nation, welcome to Riani,” a woman spoke. She was tall and thin, with stark white skin and elaborately braided hair. Cybernetic implants as thin as fishing lines ran down her temples and neck like intricate tattoos. She stood in the center of the room, a few paces from where the away team had emerged. “I’m President Samihah Khushkhu — pleased to make your acquaintance. This building is usually open to the public, but due to the sensitive nature of your visit, I asked to meet in private. I believe we have much to discuss.”
Beno had a smile as she maintained a friendly voice. "We are honored to meet your acquaintance." Beno started. "My team starting with my security experts, Taylor Reed Jez Mala and Shione Kurasa who is also my Second Officer." After this was all over Beno was expecting an earful from one to all three of them about what she just did.
"Alexander Talion and myself Beno Velaul both Science officers, until I became first Officer. You are right we have a lot to discuss, with little time to do it." She looked up at the weapon on the roof. "I suggest we get started right after I present you with the gift, the bottle of Scotch I had saved until I became Commanding Officer. Right now this is more important than that." Beno wanted to start things off with a friendly tone.
