Strangers waiting
Up and down the boulevard
Their shadows searching in the night
Streetlights people
Livin' just to find emotion
Hidin' somewhere in the night
Don't stop believin'
Hold on to that feelin'
Streetlight people
Lucy really enjoyed singing. Sometimes the words spoke to her. Emotions and stories. She was careful not to get loud. Hally had a great voice, so she softened her voice to not drown her out. She fell a lot more towards the alto end of the scale. Not quite as great at hitting the high notes, but with others who filled out the range it didn't bother her so much.
Lucy knew some small amounts of bluegrass, gypsy jazz, and even swing. She'd be interested to hear which songs Robin knew. Some were incredibly sad stories. She certainly got a kick out of singing. The booths at the Christmas party organised by Mara were definitely a favorite part of her experience. Her singing voice was close to Shania Twain’s range, but she could sometimes imitate the vocal intonations of singers like Faith Hill or Alanis Morrisette.
Everyone had their own tastes. Lucy knew she’d be interested to hear what Maria's choice would be. Music was wide and varied. She had stuff she liked and there was stuff she couldn’t stand. Personal preferences and guilty pleasures were enlightening.
It would be dull if we were all the same.
