Ju hadn't wanted to take time away from the deck. But, she had needed to get cleaned up after they returned from the Klingon ship, and the Chief had given her permission to get herself back together. She felt tired, the kind of tired that was from the inside. The kind that made your body ache when you stood still too long because you had been running on adrenaline and a pocketful of candy. Ju stepped out of the bathroom in her newly replicated uniform, a billow of steam wafting into the room behind her. She wished she could have taken a longer shower, but she didn't have time. Being allowed to come clean up was a privilege and she didn't want to take advantage of it.
Standing in front of the mirror on the wall Ju took her still-damp hair and quickly locked the long tresses into a braid. Securing it with a hair tie she wrapped the braid behind her head in a circle using small pins to keep it into place. With everything secure she stopped by the main replicator in her room again and got some more of her favorite candy and an energy drink. She knew she was going to need it, as much as she didn't want to rely on cafeine she had already gone through a heck of a day and her shift wasn't even over.
Slipping her feet into her boots a piece of candy fell out of her full pocket falling onto the deckplating. Reaching over she grabbed it and shoved it back into the pocket heading for the door. As she stepped out Ju popped the top to her energy drink and gulped half of it before she reached the Turbolift. "Engineering," she said simply waiting for the lift door to close and to take her back to the deck. Who knew what was going on down there or what they were about to do now. This ship was always busy and things seemed to happen constantly. They had been so busy she hardly had time to worry about Damian, he was in the back of her mind but she hadn't given him consistent thought until now as his memory invaded her mind in the quiet space of the Turbo lift.
Various people stepped onto the lift as well getting off here and there before it was finally her turn. The smell of grease, ozone, and warm metal greated her as the lift opened to Engineering. A familiar smile crossed her face as she stepped out onto the deck finishing off the last of her drink and de-replicating the trash as she headed further onto the deck her dark eyes searching for her boss. Sure enough, he seemed to be surrounded by his team leads and giving them some sort of information so she figured it was a good idea to check in with him.
"Hey Chief, I'm checking back in. Where do you need me?"
