From what the sensors are able to tell, the base appears to be original Dominion War-era construction. There are a few more recent additions, however - a perimeter fence with guard posts at the gate and corners, and the beginnings of a building outside that looks more akin to modern Klingon construction.

As several different scenarios are run, one pertinent fact gets more and more emphasized - the closer that Artemis can get before the engagement begins, the quicker the battle resolves, particularly when focused on only one platform.
The platform's maximum range was greater than Artemis', forcing Artemis to weather a storm before they can effectively engage. However, if the ship can get to point blank before the platform activates, the script flips neatly, letting Artemis effectively destroy the platform with only minimal damage. It becomes a sliding scale based on range at every point in between: the closer that Artemis gets, the shorter and more decisive the battle gets.
