As reports echoed from around the bridge and Hallowette added in her tactical assessment, she couldn't help but notice that the Captain's response to each officer seemed off, or at least not to her expectation. Granted, she wasn't sure what her expectation even was. Crawford had a reputation, but she had made it a point to avoid researching anything more than just what had been offered to her unsolicited. She had hoped that whenever she was given the opportunity to meet the woman, she would be able to make her own assessments, her own judgements and meet that with professionalism and tact, no matter what.
So when the Captain responded to her best efforts with what seemed like irritation, it had taken her aback a bit. She was about to apologize, to retreat back from the confidence she had mustered, before she noted the Crawford rubbed the bridge of her nose as if massaging away a headache as opposed to aggravation.
Step it up Hals. The Captain needs you to perform. Get on it.
"Right away Sir." Hallowette said with authority. She was a Bridge Officer - tomorrow she may be back in Hangar bay 2, but today - right now - she was running tactical on the USS Artemis, and she would not allow herself to fall short.
She hadn't noticed Mara enter the bridge, so when her eyes glanced past Tactical Station 2, she couldn't help but smile at her friend. For what it was worth, it made her feel better knowing both Mara and Aeryn, and Lucy too, were not so far away.
She immediately got to work, calculating the optimum strike package to disable the platform, and place the Artemis in the best possible position to respond to whatever response the defense grid threw at them.
==GM INPUT: Hally is working to answer the Captains question. How quickly can the Artemis disable/destroy a weapons platform with maximum precision, and is it possible to glean which of the platforms is most vulnerable to assault?==
