[Jadaris, you mentioned spending some time inside a temporal anomaly cloud. How much do you know about chroniton radiation?]
Jadaris thought for a moment, and then replied,
"You'll need the radiation phase variance in order to counteract it. Most chronitons exist in clouds and behave similarly to each other, ahead or behind in time, and when you get irradiated, that's the only time you can counteract the effects. You can't proactively immunize yourself unless you're precognitive, or have some form of temporal shielding, so we'll have to analyze the phase charge, and then neutralize the particles by releasing an oppositely phased particle, which will cause the pair to neutralize each other."
Just then, the ship began to buck, and readings began to go weird. External sensors failed, an exterior force field failed, and the Chief of Security got anxious. Jadaris looked at his master systems display and replied,
"If we're in some kind of ion storm, we'd be blind and probably have some grounding issues. I'm going to check out the hatch issue, since an automated closure command might not register with the level of electrical resistance present in the system."
Jadaris ran a command to see if anyone was inside the starboard impulse engine area, before requesting the system close the access hatch. If it didn't, he was already preparing to go fix the issue, since an exterior hatch was not only a field hazard, but also a possible boarding in progress. One accident was bad enough, but two would be catastrophic with all the stress the ship was under.
Duplicating some functions of the MCC panel to his PADD, Jadaris headed back into the depths of Engineering, given that the main impulse engines were on the back of the Yeager rather than on the saucer as would be the case of the Pathfinder. If things were bad enough, then there might be some radioactive gas in the engine room in the ship's future.
==GM Input: Any response to the command to see who's in the starboard impulse engine if anyone, and if the hatch closes on command? Also, how long does it take Jadaris to get to the engine?==
