Everyone joined in with Aeryn's toast, adding their own to what was said, which only made this moment even more special as they acknowledged what had brought them together, and all because of Hallowette. It wasn't to say that they couldn't have had this kind of conversation and discovered a shared kinship another time, but it just felt nice, and something to build on. Lucy's comment thankfully didn't cause any embarrassment; however, Aeryn understood why she wanted to find love. A concept that Aeryn herself preferred not to seek out, but rather let it come to her naturally, even in her case with Beka, had been wonderfully unexpected.
Robin got up to play the piano, grinning slightly at the comment Robin made about being able to multitask while playing a song Aeryn wasn't too familiar with, but she enjoyed it all the same. Mara then reminded the CMO about the time she beat her at pool, before mentioning the party where she had first met most of the crew. Relating to what was said, as she also remembered that time, and how much had happened since she stepped into that barn back on Earth.
" I remember that too, and exactly that's how it feels to me as well," Aeryn said, knowing deep down that she wouldn't want to go back and change a single thing. She was definitely where she was meant to be, and she also agreed with Mara's comment regarding Hallowette. " I think so too".
Hallowette responded by raising her glass and speaking in Trill, translating for the others' benefit as Robin returned before doing something that Aeryn considered bold. Yet, she couldn't find it in herself to say no. " Go on then, I'm game," she replied, getting up to join Hallowette as she moved to the stage, and told Mara that she could pick the song. If she could get up to sing like she did at Ju's party, then this should be a proverbial walk in the park.
