As Cdr. Ameen entered the Bridge; Keir was behind the CO's chair doing what s/he usually did , namely to stay in the background until needed. S/he had already ordered and completed cursory diagnostic scans of all relevant ship's systems before the Zephyr ever left warp
Assuring hirself that the Engineering bridge officer had gone over everything ,Keir looked up and stayed where s/he was watching as the CO orchestrated the flow of actions and responsibilities throughout, as the ship approached and then came out of warp; all from the CO's chair.
Cdr. Ameen gave the standard orders to the helm regarding approach and made contact with the Trill planetary control.
As Ameen relaxed Keir made hir way around and took the assigned seat next to the CO, adding only one short, but required comment;
"All ship's systems operating at expected levels , Commander; the ship is ready,"
Strangely Keir could not feel the slightest hint of apprehension.
