==Was beginning to feel left out!==
Jaein was glad to see everything going smoothly. He was a little bored, honestly, but he liked it that way. After all, if he was bored, then typically that meant that no one was shooting at them and blowing bits of his ship away. That's why you went to a shipyard, after all, he reminded himself. But then, it wasn't the same as being the chief on a starship.
He was about to get up and get a new coffee when his commbadge chirruped. [Givens to Omdor. Can you step into the briefing room for a second?]
Well, maybe that coffee isn't a good idea, he thought, but grabbed his cup anyway as he stood. "Sure, one moment," he replied, and then stepped off the bridge and into the briefing room. He stepped to the replicator and punched in a command for a glass of water as he told her to go ahead.
[I've got a piece of tech here that you might be supremely qualified to look at,] she told him. [It's a console of Dominion origin, maybe tied to a security system. Han is on her way up here to look at it but if you can tell me what to look for or come over here, we might be able to handle this quickly.]
She had had his attention anyway. Once she said 'Dominion', though, he forgot all about the water cup that had materialized as she spoke. He remembered working on some Dominion tech during the war, mostly captured bits and pieces, some wreckage they were able to salvage from battlefields. If they had working tech on there... and security related? Obviously it wasn't tied to any defensive or offensive tech, he thought. They would have put up a better fight if they'd had anything like that. But if it wasn't that, then what was it?
"Give me two minutes to get to a transporter room," he told the captain. "I'll be right there."
