HD03 - Science Cadet T'Varel - Amelina Whittaker - 02-01-2026

== Welcome to your holodeck, Cadet T'Varel

Read the following information carefully, because it has a fair amount of important information for you.  If you have any questions or difficulties at any time, please contact one of the following people for assistance.  We’d be glad to help you out.

Commander Jasal
Commander Shanth
Captain Allen

Remember, during your time at the Academy, people have responsibilities such as school, jobs, and family, as well as maintaining our site. There are times when we may have to wait longer than we’d like for a reply to a post or a question. Patience and treating each other with respect and dignity are two things that are absolutely required of all members.

On the flip side, the Constitution states that players need to post at least twice a week.  If you find you are unable to keep up due to something coming up in real-life responsibilities or you’re just going to be on holiday, please let one of the Admins know.  You can be granted a leave of absence for the length of time you think you’ll be away.  If you don’t let us know and you suddenly disappear, this could end with you being considered AWOL and eventually removed from the active cadet roster.

Now… with all of that said, let’s get to your character’s bio!

Please begin by posting your bio using the template below. Once posted, your bio will be reviewed by an Evaluations representative. They will post comments for you and suggest any adjustments your bio might require.  Once they approve your bio, you will be assigned an instructor and your adventure will begin!

Federation Space is a written RPG. With that said, we ask that you try to pay attention to spelling and grammar in your posts.  Posts properly formatted are easier and more enjoyable for everyone to read. I strongly recommend you run your bio and any posts you make through a spell check before posting them.

Next are a few resources that can help you as you write your bio:

Be sure to check out playable races.

Our character development page is a great resource to help you fill out your bio form.

One last thing, please take time to read and understand our site’s canon page.  This will help you understand what 'Trek' related information is included on our site.

Again, if you have any questions, please feel free to ask!  And as always - have fun!

== Personal History ==

Date of Birth: April 23rd

Place of Birth: Vulcan

Marital Status: Single

Siblings Name & Ages: T’Varel has three siblings. Her oldest sister, T’Gracie Williams, died at age 14. T’Gracie was 4 years older than T’Varel. T’Varel has a twin sister named Mia Williams. She also has an adopted Klingon brother named Alexander Williams; nickname Alex. Alex is 20 years old.

Mother's Name: Stacy Williams (Human)

Father's Name: Savok Williams (Vulcan)

Parent's Status: Both are alive but divorced when T’Varel was 10 years old.

Pets: An orange tabby cat named Ollie.

Best Friend: T’Varel’s best friend is named Penelope Ross, a human female aged 22. They met on the U.S.S. Stardust when T’Varel was around 6 years old. Penelope is learning to be a school teacher on Earth. She is surprisingly calm and logical for a human. They have kept in touch over the years and often pay each other surprise visits. Penelope is married to a human man named Kurt Ross. They have two newborn twin sons, Max and Benjamin, that T’Varel considers her nephews.

Personal History: T’Varel Williams was born on April 23rd on the planet Vulcan, alongside her fraternal twin sister, Mia. Their parents, Lt. Commander Stacy Williams and Lt. Commander Savok Williams, were on temporary assignment from the U.S.S. Stardust at the Vulcan Science Academy. Stacy was assisting with a Federation/Vulcan mental health exchange program, and Savok was conducting important scientific research.

Though only a few weeks old when the family returned to the U.S.S. Stardust, T’Varel’s earliest environment was shaped by Vulcan culture. Her father insisted on maintaining Vulcan infant developmental practices, such as structured sleep cycles, early sensory training, and exposure to calm environments, while her mother balanced this with human warmth and flexibility. Even as a toddler, T’Varel displayed a quiet, observant nature that set her apart from her more expressive twin.

Growing up on a starship gave T’Varel a unique childhood. The Stardust was a Constitution class exploratory vessel, and its crew became an extended family. T’Varel was known for wandering the corridors with a small data padd, absorbing and studying information far beyond what others in her age group were learning. Her father encouraged her curiosity, using up almost all of his vacation time to take T’Varel to other planets so she could learn more about other cultures.

At age six, T’Varel met Penelope Gordon, the daughter of two civilian science specialists aboard the Stardust. Penelope’s calm, thoughtful demeanor resonated with T’Varel, and the two formed a steady, lifelong friendship. Penelope was one of the few humans who never seemed unsettled by T’Varel’s ‘cold’ Vulcan logic.

Tragedy struck when T’Varel was ten. Her older sister, T’Gracie, died in a transporter malfunction when coming back from a school field trip to Earth. The transporter chief failed to get a signal lock and her pattern vanished. The loss destroyed the family. Savok chose to conceal and ignore the emotions, while Stacy struggled with grief in a very human way. T’Varel processed the event with a quiet intensity, implementing the Vulcan teachings on emotional regulation but never fully escaping the emotional grief of losing a sibling she admired.

Six months after T’Gracie’s death, her parents divorced. The strain of cultural differences, grief, and conflicting approaches to raising hybrid children had grown too great. After the divorce was finalized, Stacy moved to different quarters on board the Stardust. The twins went back and forth between quarters, their close bond being the only constant in their lives.

This period shaped T’Varel’s identity profoundly. She embraced Vulcan discipline more fully, seeking stability in logic and routine. Her father, recognizing the emotional complexity of a hybrid child, ensured she received guidance from Vulcan tutors and exposure to Vulcan philosophy. Yet she also maintained strong ties to her mother and sister, her human side finding comfort in their more emotional and empathetic demeanours.

Around this time, Savok adopted Alexander, a young Klingon orphan rescued during a mission. Alex was fiery, impulsive, and loud, but he bonded quickly with T’Varel, who became a grounding presence for him. Their sibling dynamic was unusual but deeply loyal.

At fourteen, T’Varel left the Stardust to attend a Federation preparatory academy on Earth. Her mother believed she needed exposure to her human heritage, and Savok agreed it would broaden her perspective. The transition was challenging. Human peers often misinterpreted her stoic nature as coldness, and she found the emotions of her peers difficult to understand.

Still, she excelled academically. Her interests gravitated toward xenobiology, psychology, and interspecies diplomacy. She also developed a disciplined athletic routine, participating in Vulcan martial arts and human track events.

Her friendship with Penelope deepened during these years, as Penelope also moved to Earth to pursue training in the field of education. T’Varel often visited her, finding comfort in the familiar steadiness of their bond.

T’Varel entered Starfleet Academy at seventeen, following in both her parents’ footsteps.

At the Academy, T’Varel adopted Ollie, an orange tabby cat who seemed unbothered by her Vulcan demeanor and often slept on her study materials. Ollie is the mate of Penelope’s pet cat Violet. The two have two female kittens and one male kitten named Tegan, Dylan, and Reece.

Now in her final year at the Academy, T’Varel stands at the threshold of her Starfleet career. She still maintains close ties with her family and friends. Her mother is a counselor on Earth, and her father is now the Chief Medical Officer on the Stardust. Mia has joined Starfleet Academy to pursue a career in Counseling, following in her mother’s footsteps. T’Varel is disappointed that her twin chose to embrace her human side rather than her more logical Vulcan side, but still supports Mia in her decisions. Alex joined Starfleet Academy as well, pursuing a career as a Security Officer.

Penelope married a man named Kurt Ross, and legally changed her name to Penelope Ross. The wedding was held on Earth and T’Varel was the Maid of Honor.

She frequently visits Penelope, Kurt, and their newborn twins, Max and Benjamin, whom she regards with quiet affection.

T’Varel’s life has been shaped by duality, Vulcan and human, logic and emotion, starship and planet, loss and resilience. She approaches her future with the calm certainty of someone who has gone through drastic change and emerged stronger for it.

== Personality ==

Academy Majors: Science

Academy Minors: Astrophysics and exobiology

Hobbies & Past-Times: T’Varel enjoys reading, playing Kal-toh, Klingon Martial Arts, and spending time in the Holodecks.

Short-Term Goals: Finishing her book

Long-Term Goals: Becoming a decorated Science Officer and having a family

Personality: INTP (Myer-Briggs Test). T’Varel is reserved and calm, preferring to remain logical and stoic.

Sense of Humor: Sarcastic and witty. Appreciates a cleverly cloaked insult.

Phobias: T’Varel is terrified of transporters due to what happened to her older sister. She avoids using them when possible, preferring to take a shuttle instead. It bothers her when officers mention the phobia.

Likes: Reading, playing Kal-toh, Klingon Martial Arts, her family and friends, her cat, plomeek soup,  fish, pasta, and cream soda.

Dislikes: Most people, overt displays of affection and emotion, and Klingon food.

Pet Peeves/Gripes: People who chew with their mouths open, people who chew loudly, and people who use poor grammar.

Bad Habits / Vices: Dismissing/ignoring others.

Achievements: T’Varel has been working on a book guiding hybrid children like her in the process of balancing two cultures. She has yet to get it published. T'Varel has also won several Kal-toh tournaments.

Disappointments: Her twin choosing to adopt human values.

Illnesses: None

Strengths: Logic and discipline

Weaknesses: Emotional vulnerability and understanding emotions.

Fears: Transporter accidents.

Prejudices: T’Varel hates Ferengi, as the transporter chief who lost her sister's pattern was a Ferengi.

== Questions ==

Most Painful Experience: Her sister's death.

Best Time: Her time at the Academy and her best friend's wedding.

Most Crucial Experience: Entering Starfleet Academy.

Role Model: Spock, as he was also a Vulcan-human hybrid who chose to focus on logic.

RE: HD03 - Science Cadet T'Varel - Theresa Black - 02-03-2026

== Hello Cadet T'Varel, and welcome to Federation Space RPG, otherwise known as Fed Space. Fed Space is a great game and community. My name is Lieutenant Black, I’ll be your Academy Instructor, helping you get ready for your time on ship. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask me here or dm me.

Before we move on to the first lesson, I want to make sure you're aware of the great resource our wiki provides. It has a lot of information, including what your department duties will be. Take some time to review:

https://wiki.fed-space.com/index.php?title=How_to_Play_a_Science_Officer

The wiki also includes an Academy section that contains a lot of resources for you. Be sure to take some time to review them, especially the New Cadet FAQ, while you’re there. We’ll use the wiki later in our lessons, so it’s helpful for you to start navigating it now.

With that out of the way, let’s get started: Lesson one: Formatting basics

Third Person, Past Tense:
Fed Space has players all over the world, so we use a standardised set of formatting rules. By using one style, it makes it easier for everyone to follow and understand each other’s posts.

The first thing to know is that we post in third person, past tense. An example of this style of writing would be: Amelina was so excited to be finally taking her final examination, she fell off her seat. NOT: I fell off my seat because I was so excited to take my final examination.

We also use double spacing between paragraphs and character’s spoken lines. This means when you write a spoken line with quotation marks “ ”, leave a space after. This makes it easier for players to follow. A good rule to follow is ‘When in doubt, double space!’

Your Character’s Internal Thoughts
To show your character’s own thoughts, we use italics. When writing your character’s thoughts, it’s acceptable to write in first person. An example of showing my character’s thoughts would look like: I can’t wait to visit my home town again and see my Father

Showing Emphasis
To make something really stand out in your post, such as if your character was shouting, we use bold text. An example of showing emphasis for my character would look like: Black loved a good cup of coffee, especially with a bit of cinnamon.

Telepathic Communication
In general, it is rare for a character to have the ability to communicate telepathically, and because of this, it is closely monitored by our Senior and Commanding Officers to make sure it isn’t abused. With that said, there are a few telepathic races on Fed Space, and on occasion, telepaths will speak to each other through this unique skill. Telepathic communication is shown like this:

~ Hello, I am speaking directly into your mind. ~

If your character is not telepathic, then, in general, you won’t need to worry about this technique, but I want you to be aware it exists in case you see crewmembers on your ship or others using it.

Using Communication Badges or Comm Badges
Characters can often receive verbal communications through a communication device, such as a comm badge, from another crew member or the computer. When receiving a message, you should drop the quotations “ ” and instead use brackets [ ].

For example, if I received a message from another officer, it would look something like this:
[Captain Allen to Lieutenant Black, please report to Holodeck 5.]

If you are the one speaking to somebody through a comm device, you would still use the quotations “ ”.

Out Of Character posting or OOC:
OOC posting is what I’m doing now. OOC text is surrounded by == ==. Use OOC when you want to talk to another player and not write it as part of the storyline. You won’t need to do this in general discussion areas, such as your ship’s OOC sections like Crew Announcements, as well as in Hailing Frequencies.

Proofing Posts:
When writing a post, it’s important to take time to run your posts through the spell check that many writing software offers. Spell check won’t find all grammar and spelling errors, but it will find many and help correct errors found. Rereading your post can help catch errors. We don’t need anyone to be a speller or grammar whiz, but taking the time to do this extra step will make it easier for everyone to understand what’s written.

A good way to get the feel of these formatting rules and to get a feel of the site in general is to browse the different ship forums. Take some time to look at the different ships. Take time to notice how our players use the elements listed above.

With all that said, let’s get to some posting! Your first assignment is to respond to my post using the above formatting elements. If you have any questions, ask. Good luck and have fun! ==

== Holodeck 03 - 12:00 hrs ==

Standing outside the holodeck, Theresa stood arms crossed with her PADD tucked under her left arm waiting for her new Cadet to arrive. It was her nature to arrive early, because if you were late, you're on time.

Checking the time one more time, she tapped her badge. “Lieutenant Black to Cadet T'Varel.” She said, her distinctive high pitched west-country accent echoing slightly in the corridor. “Please report to Holodeck 03 for assessment.”

== Holodeck 03 - 12:00 hrs ==

Cadet T'Varel walked casually through the empty hallway while sipping from a glass of cream soda. The replicators here always failed to capture the slight vanilla taste. She felt her combadge chirp. Pressing it, a feminine voice with a country accent sounded.

[Lieutenant Black to Cadet T'Varel. Please report to Holodeck 03 for assessment.]

A fleeting feeling of panick washed over T'Varel before being overcome by her Vulcan logic. Her friends had told her that Lieutenant Black tended to arrive early. Disposing of her drink in a nearby replicator, T’Varel began jogging towards Holodeck 3. Reaching her destination, T’Varel said,

"Greetings sir. I'm ready for my assessment."

RE: HD03 - Science Cadet T'Varel - Theresa Black - 02-05-2026

== Good post there. A firm beginning. But, I'd like you to repost it, please.

What I'd like you is to add a little to it. Maybe add a little more emphasis (Bold Text) to how fleeting your panic is. And just a little bit of internal monologue or feelings (italic Text). I know you're favouring your Vulcan half, but your thoughts are important to us. Wink

Once we've got that bit sorted. We can move on to the next part.

And just in case you haven't found it. When you post your entry in the Quick Reply box at the bottom of the page, press the Preview Post button. It'll open up a full text editing box for you.

Sometimes, if you copy and paste from a word processor package or a phone, you can loose formatting if you did pre-format your post. So it can help you to double check before you click the Post Reply button.

Also, you do have a 15 minute window to edit if you did make a mistake in your post and you need to edit.==

RE: HD03 - Science Cadet T'Varel - T'Varel - 02-07-2026

== Holodeck 03 – 12:00 hrs ==

T’Varel approached the holodeck at a precise, measured pace, her hands clasped neatly behind her back. Her dark brown eyes lifted toward the doors as she heard her comm badge activate.

[Lieutenant Black to Cadet T’Varel. Please report to Holodeck 03 for assessment.]

She acknowledged the message with a small incline of her head, even though she knew the Lieutenant could not see it.

“Cadet T’Varel, en route,” she replied, her tone calm and even.

Arriving at the holodeck doors, she paused exactly one step away from Lieutenant Black, her posture straight and composed.

“Lieutenant Black,” she said, offering a respectful nod. “Cadet T’Varel reporting as ordered.”

Internally, she noted the Lieutenant’s posture and the PADD tucked beneath her arm.

Efficiency is commendable. I will ensure my performance meets expectations.

She folded her hands behind her back once more, awaiting further instruction with quiet attentiveness.

RE: HD03 - Science Cadet T'Varel - Theresa Black - 02-08-2026

== Okay, Cool. Let's move on to... Lesson two: Plots, GM Input, Character Hijacking, and New Content:

We have two types of plots here on Federation Space: the main plot and subplots. Main plots affect the entire ship and are directed by a Game Moderator (GM). Subplots are an underlying story being told within the main plot. A subplot can be run by any player with prior approval of the ship’s CO (or FO).

An example of the difference between the two:  The main plot is about the ship falling under attack. A subplot would be a character dealing with an on ship pregnancy or maybe trying to write the next great holonovel.

GMs:
Game Moderators (GMs) guide the ships’ missions along. Every ship has a mission, of which only the GMs of a ship know the mission details.

Your job is to write what your character sees and what their reaction is. The GM will provide any unknowns about the plot.  This input will have significance to the direction of the mission. This is why characters should keep posts open ended on anything that might affect the mission’s direction or outcome.  As your character performs an action, such as performing a diagnostic scan, leave the result of the scan unknown.  The GM will explain what the outcome of the action is.

When you need GM input on something, for example results of a diagnostic scan, one only has to make a request at the end of the post.  The request can look like:

== GM Input, please? ==

Or it can also be a more specific request, such as:

== GM Input: Result of the diagnostic, please. ==

Take a look around at the active ships on Federation Space to see characters ask for GM input.

Character Hijacking:
The next element we’re going to cover is character usage. Unless you have permission from the player, you cannot post any speech, thoughts or movements for another character (PRC or NRC) that isn’t yours, unless the character has already done so in game. This is called character hijacking and is not permitted on Fed Space. Some players might not mind, but even minor things such as a nod of the head or a shrug of the shoulders can be considered hijacking.

For example, if you write in your next post that Captain Maddie Allen suddenly appeared and started dancing the Hokey Pokey, you would have hijacked another character.

Character Movement on Ships:
I’m sure you have noticed a ship has multiple threads on it for various locations that a player can post, such as the bridge, sickbay, and security offices.  Often times while on a mission players travel throughout the ship to accomplish their orders. To help follow the plot when a player is transitioning from one thread to another they should make a notation at the end their post like this:  >> Sickbay >>  The arrows and location found at the bottom of a post tells readers where this character will post next.

When the player makes their next post, the player should make a notation at the beginning of their post like this:  << Bridge <<  The arrows and location  found at the top of a post indicate that is where a player has just come from.

Time for more writing!  In your next post, continue showing your use of our formatting techniques you learned in lesson one and ask for GM input. I will be acting as your GM. ==

== Holodeck 3 ==

“Lieutenant Black,” Said the Cadet, offering a respectful nod as she arrived outside the holodeck. “Cadet T’Varel reporting as ordered.”

The young woman stood a couple of inches taller than Black. She returned the nod and added a polite smile as she took out her PADD and began entering information.

“Good afternoon, Cadet.” She began. “I'll be assessing you through this, your final examination.”

She paused to give the Cadet a chance to ask her anything before they began.

Then she continued “You will be part of an away mission.” She began saying as they entered the holodeck itself. “Welcome aboard the USS Cale, Good luck.”

From T'Varel's point of view, it would look like she had just stepped aboard a standard Runabout shuttle craft which was apparently, somewhere in space. Two people, a Pilot and co-pilot were at the controls. Black was no where in sight.

A pinkish hazy coloured planet was visible through the front of the windscreen. And possibly a probe of some kind was slowly drifting along side the port side tumbling end over end. Warning alarms trilled from a control panel, and the probe looked to be outgassing something.

“Three minutes till it impacts the atmosphere...” Said one of the two at the helm.

RE: HD03 - Science Cadet T'Varel - T'Varel - 02-08-2026

== Holodeck 3 ==

T’Varel steadied herself as the simulated environment appeared around her. The sterile corridor of the Academy dissolved, replaced by the compact interior of a Federation runabout. The hum of the engines vibrated faintly beneath her boots. Lieutenant Black was gone, exactly as expected for a holodeck scenario designed to test independent performance.

She took one measured step forward, her gaze shifting to the forward viewscreen. The pink‑hued planet dominated the view, its atmosphere swirling with muted storms. Along the port side, a probe tumbled end over end, venting a thin trail of vapor that dissipated into the void.

Warning alarms trilled from the console ahead. The two officers at the helm worked quickly, though neither acknowledged her presence. That, too, was expected. This was her examination, not the hologram's.

“Three minutes till it impacts the atmosphere...” the pilot announced.

T’Varel clasped her hands behind her back, her expression composed and serene.

How interesting. A malfunctioning probe on a decaying trajectory. Potentially hazardous. Unknown payload. Unknown mission parameters.

She stepped toward the nearest auxiliary console, careful not to assume any response from the simulated crew. Her fingers hovered over the controls.

“I will attempt to access the probe’s telemetry and structural integrity readings,” she said aloud, her tone even. “If possible, I will also analyze the nature of the outgassing.”

She initiated the diagnostic sequence.

== GM Input: Results of the probe diagnostic, please. ==

Her eyes remained fixed on the scrolling data as she awaited the system’s response.

RE: HD03 - Science Cadet T'Varel - Theresa Black - 02-09-2026

== Great post. There is a line half way through though that reads like it was maybe an internal thought?. I'm guessing this was just a formatting error. They happen to us all, so please don't take this as negative. Just remember to take a few seconds to double check the preview before you hit post. ==

== Lesson three: NRCs, character usage, and site navigation:

Non-rated characters, or NRCs, are characters used by players as well as GMs to help fill crew gaps in ships. Starships usually have large crews and since we don’t have enough players to fill all those roles, we use NRCs.

We have two types of NRCs: Independent and Temporary.

Independent NRCs are like a Player Rated Character (PRC), in that they get played as their own character. These NRCs are registered and you can distinguish them through their character names. You’ll see something along the lines of Ensign Doe {Allen}, with the PRC character’s last name in brackets at the end. And while these NRCs are similar to PRCs, they are not a second rated character (SRC). They also do not earn points or medals as you would with your PRC.  Also, your PRC must be a Lt [JG] or higher and have the approval of your Commanding Officer to create an Independent NRC.

Temporary NRCs on the other hand, can be created by anyone. They are not as developed as Independent NRCs or PRCs and they do not have bios. They are usually created for quick tasks, and are used for times when you need to post with other players on the ship.

To make a Temporary NRC post, all you need to do is place an OOC notation at the top of the post. You’ll probably see several variations, but they typically look like:

==Ensign John Doe, Temp Engineering NRC ==

In the case of both NRCs, you play the character from the NRCs perspective, almost as if you have a second character.  You can only play an NRC that is one rank higher than your own. This means that if you’re an Ensign, you can have NRCs that are Midshipmen, Ensigns, or Lieutenant Junior Grades.

Navigating the Fed Space Wiki
The Fed Space wiki offers a great resource to help you out with your posts.  Be sure to spend some time to check it out.  The information on the wiki is also ‘Fed Space canon,’ which can sometimes differ from Star Trek canon, so look there first when you’re researching something.  Don’t feel limited to only looking at the wiki pages for your department, because the other departments will have information you’ll find quite useful.

As previously mentioned, Fed Space canon differs slightly from that of Star Trek, mainly because this game happens 40+ years after the Dominion War. Since the Dominion War, there have been many conflicts and wars. It’s been very rocky, but all the history from the start of Year 1 to the last entry on that page have been written and played here on Federation Space.  Make sure you spend some time checking out our site history.

To help you get used to the organization of our wiki, please answer the following questions in OOC.

1. Who is the Chief Science Officer of the USS Aquila?
2. Where would you find the Science Labs on a Nova Class starship?
3. Which department is responsible for creating and maintaining maps and star charts.

After answering the questions, continue with another post.

In your post, please continue the story and either or both of your two new friends as your Temporary NRC's. I'll leave it to you to decide their names and other details as you wish. And as ever, have fun! ==

== GM Input – The probe is venting a highly unstable ferroelectric plasma. If it comes in contact with the high ammonia atmosphere, it will highly likely produce a potentially explosive reaction as it converts to hydrazine compounds.

If only there was a way neutralize the plasma before it reaches the planets atmosphere. ==

RE: HD03 - Science Cadet T'Varel - T'Varel - 02-14-2026

== The Chief Science Officer of the USS Aquila is Alexander Talion {Thorn}. There is an enormous amount of lab space on a Nova Class starship. The crew quarters and other such rooms are made smaller in order to make room for recreational rooms such as Holodecks, and more practical rooms such as said Science Labs. The members of the Science Departments are responsivle for creating and maintaining maps and star charts. ==

== Holodeck 3 ==

T'Varel looked at the screen in front of her. It read,

"The probe is venting a highly unstable ferroelectric plasma. If it comes in contact with the high ammonia atmosphere, it will highly likely produce a potentially explosive reaction as it converts to hydrazine compounds."

T'Varel grinned. She had done a scenario almost exactly like this halfway through her first year at the Academy.

She looked towards a young Ferengi male that had appeared. A hot flash of anger washed over her.

I can't believe that they would make a Ferengi officer part of my program. Vile, despicable creatures.

== Ensign Fog, Science Officer NRC ==

"Have you come up with a solution, Cadet?"

Resisting the overwhelmingly human urge to hit him on the side of the head, T'Varel opened her mouth to speak, struggling to converse in a measured Vulcan tone.

T'Varel said,

"I believe that we can use a tractor beam to pull the probe in away from the planet. Then, we can douse it with a neutralizing agent to stabilize the unstable ferroelectric plasma in one of the Cargo Bays."

== Ensign Fog, Science Officer NRC ==

The Ferengi male turned to a female Bajoran Ensign seated at the engineering station.

== Ensign Bira Pelys, Engineering Officer NRC ==

Bira Pelys gave a brief nod to confirm T'Varel's solution was possible.

T'Varel inputed the sequence into the computer in order to see if everything would work.

== GM Input: Please put if the solution will work and if so have it go into effect. ==

== Okay. I need you to go back and look again at the three questions.

The answer to question one was correct, but questions two and thee unfortunately were not.

All the correct information is buried somewhere in the Fedspace wiki https://wiki.fed-space.com/index.php?title=Main_Page

As to the main body of your post. Good. You got the hang of the NPC's, but you need to think of it kind of like the same scene but from two points of view.

For example, you'd write your characters point of view. But you play your NPC as a completely different character who is interacting with your primary character.

You only need to introduce your NPC once so we know you're writing as them, and then play out the scene from their point view. You might repeat the same lines back and fourth between each character. But it's from the perspective of a completely different character. Their thoughts and dreams. Ensign Fog may like Vulcans. Big Grin

So let's give this one another go. ==
