The more that Kalli thought about the safety of the Away Team and the fact that a Federation ship had been shot down, the more she was convinced that they needed to be prepared. Taking a few minutes to drop in on the Shuttle Bay, she found the Deck Chief and asked to have a Runabout prepped and ready on the pad. It needed a full preflight and to be "Hot Cocked", for a scramble, if the Away Team required an Extraction Team. Transporters could be interfered with and sometimes there was a need to bring materials back that could not be transported. No matter what the reason, she wanted to be prepared.
In addition to the craft and a pilot being on standby, she wanted 4 drones loaded into the craft. They were to be outfitted with small shield generators, heavy stun capability and a dermal regenerator It was a standard Security loadout, but it was very rare to have need of them. She really hoped they would not need them now either.
