RE: The Broken Arrow - Gath - 02-02-2026

Trying to remain an optimist, Gath said, "Gath to Baldwin, I want you to see what the computer database on their world might have about their languages. It might be helpful if we could read their consoles and it these people wake up, we're going to want to have the translator primed so that we can speak with them. Let me know what you come up with. It is hard to believe that these people were already floating around in this ship at a time when most of our cultures were still using crude tools. While we were figuring out how to go from stones to metals, they were attempting to expand into the stars. It seems a shame that they appear to have only succeeded in blowing up their world."

While he waited for a reply, he continued to look around the inside of the craft. Part of him wondered if there might be some form of other genetic material in other stasis that would qualify it as a colony ship. It was very unlikely that the few individuals would be able to constitute a viably diverse enough genepool for their species to survive long if they were all that was left. He was floating around inside a space version of an archeological find. It was not buried in the ground, but it was quite ancient. Space could preserve things quite well, but it was also a potentially very dangerous and unforgiving environment as well. They had been alive out here for a very long time, yet a couple of them might only have less than a minute left to live. What were the odds of the crew of the Zephyr being witness to that moment? He thought that sometimes the universe had a strange sense of humor...or perhaps it was on purpose.

RE: The Broken Arrow - Keir 77 - 02-03-2026

Sensing that the time for them to get involved was nearing , Keir nodded to Brennan and together they moved forward with the connected pattern enhancers.

Taking note of the positioning and placement of the pods s/he and Brennan placed them in position near each of the pods and assuring hirself that they were powered up Keir took stock of what was left to do to ensure they were ready .

S/he had held back watching the crew work with professional and motivated teamwork made hir proud.

"The pattern enhancers are ready and in place ." No further notification was needed and so s/he and Brennan waited.

Ens Baldwin replied, "Understood, Lt. Gath. Stand by, please." Ava didn't want to sound as though she was giving an order to a superior officer.

Ens Baldwin's fingers danced across her console, requesting the information from the Zephyr's computer.

== GM input, please. Information to answer Lt Gath's request, please. Please post the information directly to Lt Gath as I will be away for the next few days, with no access to Fed Space, returning home on Monday, 9th. I permit the GM to use my character to do so, if needed. ==
