AT/D15-16 - Cargo Bays
#1
== As the name suggests, the Cargo Bays are the long-term storage facilities for the ship and auxiliary craft. They can be environmentally controlled for a variety of items that may be perishable, or are reactive to certain temperatures or humidity. Deck 15 Cargo Bays house Industrial Replicators for the fabrication of small parts as needed. While Deck 16 Cargo Bays contain Cargo Transporters, which are larger and designed more for inanimate objects than lifeforms. Cargo Bays, if not completely full, can double as shelters if needed. ==

The cargo bay had been spun into an organized chaos within minutes of their boss's call ahead and by the time Cera stepped foot in the cavernous space, the work was already being completed by worker bees that knew exactly what was expected of them.

In preparation for a future launch, cargo had been slowly coming aboard over the last weeks but now they had a much tighter timeframe. The bees were organizing crates based on their destination with some of the equipment being transferred to the departments themselves and some remaining in her domain as reserves.

"Ma'am, I've got a crate of tricorders for engineering. Should we take them down there or just hold them?" Crewman Howard asked within seconds of Cera's feet hitting the deck.

At the mention of engineering, Cera's steps faltered ever so slightly. Practice kept her features perfectly schooled as her thoughts went to her ex-boyfriend briefly. Or she had to assume that's what he was at this point, not that they'd ever been big on labels. After all, he'd run off like a coward, hadn't answered a single message and while she knew he was back, he still hadn't answered a single message.

Like a petulant, pouting child.

However, she wasn't one to indulge a bratty child. If he wanted to run away from their problems, she wasn't going to stop him. While Cera might indulge games in many avenues of her life, her heart did not play games but it seemed Benjamin Elias wanted to play hide and seek as if that was the correct answer to a fight.

"No. Divide the shipment up. Add half to science's general allotment and then throw some in there for medical. Oh and security. They always break them; got to love them cavemen."

She saw the tiniest of frowns cross Howard's face at the instructions. It likely seemed like an odd order given that Cera had taken care of engineering with immense care for the last few missions and there was no doubt it would be discussed. The blonde would need to be careful with what she allowed to flourish in the grapevine in the coming weeks, it seemed.

"Ma'am, we've finished delivering all primary supplies. What should we do with the reserves?" PO2 Lithis asked, the Ktarian towering over Cera.

"Deliver medical and science's requested reserves. Hold onto security's as I was told they're running out of space for more power cells but keep them readily accessible. Ask Eli in the Shuttlebay if she needs tactical's reserves or if the repair supplies are stocked. And engineering, put theirs on the rack," Cera rattled off with quick efficiency.

She didn't miss the pause from Lithis at the instructions regarding engineering. Apparently, her special treatment of the department hadn't gone unnoticed and there was no doubt that this would be noted multiple times over. However, if engineering needed their reserves, their [b]brave[\b] leader could find his balls and come ask for them.

But he wouldn't. She actually suspected he might be suffering from cryptorchidism with this current display.

The blonde shook her head. With the cargo bay sorted and orders given, the Betazoid decided that it would be best for her to remain active and she knew the best place for that. It would likely keep her current annoyance at least in check.
