AT/D03 - Strategic Operations Complex
#1
== The Strategic Operations area of the USS Artemis is located on Deck Three. The walls and carpet continue with the typical Star Fleet colors beige and gray with any workstation / console trimmed in faux chrome.

The Strategic Operations Complex is a combination of offices, conference room space, study space, and workstations.

On one half of the complex, one can find the Strategic Operations Director’s office separated from the First Officer’s secondary office and the Chief Tactical’s office by a large conference room. This Conference room has a large round table for meetings.

On the other half of the complex, is a large open area with tables and chairs.  There are workstations specific for the Communications Officer and a Master Access Panel here.  In this area there are also two simulation rooms to be used for continuing the maneuvering understanding of the Artemis in specifically designed and controlled programs. ==

==Recall timeline==

When the recall had been received, Miles had already been aboard the Artemis, continuing to acclimate to his new position as Acting Tactical Chief. It had been a learning curve, not without it's hiccups, but Miles was definitely becoming more confident in how he was leading the Department.

Of course, with the ship still in drydock, his leadership skills hadn't been entirely put to the test. It was far more the administrative side of things, such as shifts/rotations and personnel updates, that Miles was gaining some much needed experience in. Something he had currently been working on in his office when the recall was issued.

A more prominent change since obtaining the position had been practically omitting himself from Security rotations. He still kept up with the Certifications and training, but had less than a handful of Security rotations since the conditional promotion had occurred. And those rotations were the ones he had already been scheduled prior to said promotion.

He had taken the Captain's words to heart regarding his lack of experience in the Department he not only pushed to transfer to, but was now also in charge of. He was a Tactical Officer, where his heart led him. He considered more and more the reason for his push to join Security during the peak of the last mission, and only one thought came to the forefront as to the reasoning: loyalty to the Captain.

Crawford had done more for Miles than surface level would indicate. She put a trust in him. One that, given their initial impression of one another, spoke volumes of what she must have seen in him. Especially when it came to accepting his request to not only join the Artemis, but clear his transfer to Tactical. He owed her a price that could never truly be repaid. So, when it came to asking for volunteers to rescue her, he jumped.

Bringing himself back to the present, he went over the last of the transfers and shifts. Or, at least what he could, since there were still some questions on what all personnel would be available for this mission. Once he completed that portion, he stood and made his way to the Bridge, where things were soon to be underway.

==Before moving to the Waverider==

Miles had quickly gotten everything taken care of on his own preparation, as well as making sure that Security and Medical had gotten things prepped for himself and Harriman. Among the tools for Tactical that could be provided, Miles had also requested a Type 2H Phaser and Type 3G Phaser Rifle for himself, at minimum the Type 2 for Harriman (with a standing request for additional if she requested), as well as a standard first aid kit for both of them from Medical.

Once that was completed, he had gotten himself dressed down to the jumpsuit, collected his equipment, and then called Lieutenant McKenzie to inform her of his decision to make her his proxy. Once that was taken care of, he sent the information and authorization to Commander Morgan for her to update everything.

Once that was taken care of, it was time to make his way back to the Philadelphia and the Waverider.
